SEEKING WORK | REMOTE | United States

I build no-nonsense software--balancing speed, value, and cost trade-offs against your business goals so that you don't waste money building unnecessary solutions. I turned down over $120k in potential revenue last month by identifying projects that were not ready to build a custom solution. Instead, I advised my prospects to _not_ build yet and helped them figure out their next go-to-market validation steps.

Software is a liability: you want just enough to do the job and no more. Non-technical founders often need guidance in the wild west world of software where the wrong technical decision can severely debilitate a business.

With over 8 years of experience, I work as a technical partner to ensure we build the *right* software (and help figure out the next-steps if we don't know what needs to be built yet).

- I'm not a "yes-man". I often advise against short-sighted technical decisions that will likely hinder a business's long-term growth.

- I've worked across several startups building delightful user interfaces, designing UX, implementing React, scaling APIs, resolving database scaling pressures, and outlining technical roadmaps.

My experience with NodeJS/Typescript, React, and TailwindCSS is extensive. I have worked in many of the surrounding ecosystems and paradigms including serverless, and SSR/SSG (astro, etc). I have also done a lot of Ruby on Rails recently, in an enterprise ecosystem including integrating ActionCable, Hotwire (Turbo, Stimulus, etc).
